Manuscript evaluation
A manuscript consult or evaluation is exactly what it sounds like.  I will look over the current manuscript with attention to character, plot, conventions and mechanics, pace, etc. I will provide you with my evaluation in writing. This piece is uniquely yours, and every writer has her own voice, thus I will be sure to point out your strengths as well as areas that may need work.

Stylistic editing
Stylistic editing is more subjective and it is unique to each writer. Simon Frasier University explains some of the areas covered by stylistic editing:

• Improving word choice

• Improving sentence construction

• Rewriting sentences, paragraphs, and passages to clarify meaning

Copy editing

Copy editing is not proofreading. Copy editing is a bit of a combination of stylistic editing and evaluation along with its own added attentions. There will often still be a need for redrafting after a copy edit. In this stage you are almost to the end of your process and this will be a look at drafts that are further along in the process taking time to look for typographical errors, grammar and other mechanical issues, sentence structure and consistent style.

There are many websites at your disposal that highlight the differences in types of editing and may help you decide what kind of help you need. Editing fees can get very expensive and it is also possible for us to consult on what combination of editing you require for your personal manuscript.
