Tutoring in the Columbia area
Writing
Writing tutoring is available for middle and high school students, as well as college students. Writing tutoring usually lasts for several sessions at the client's and tutor's discretion. There will be a consultation session during which I will assess what the student's needs are. It will be necessary for the student to bring samples of his/her writing for me to preview. I will work with your student on choosing topics, organization, formatting, editing and proofreading. I can also work with a student on literary analysis papers, works cited and other documentation. Literature
I can help your student become a stronger reader. This type of tutoring can be set up for several sessions or just to go over some techniques. Or perhaps your student needs help with a particular piece of literature. This type of tutoring is offered to middle and high school student.
Other ELA components
During our time together I can meet your middle or high school student's vocabulary and/or grammar needs.
Tutoring fees: $35/45 min-hour
